US lumber sales up 1.2 per cent in September
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, U.S. wholesale sales grew 2.2% in September 2023, up 0.9% from the revised September 2022 level, to total $678.1 billion.
U.S. lumber sales totalled $18.485 billion in September, up 1.2% from the previous month.
Lumber inventories increased 1.1 percent to $30.215 billion.
The September lumber inventory/sales ratio was 1.63. The September 2022 ratio is 1.61.
