Kyrgyzstan extends ban on export of timber and wood products
The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan extended the ban on the export of timber and timber products outside the Eurasian Economic Union customs zone. The corresponding resolution was adopted on 18 September.
According to the document, the ban on the export of timber and wood products classified under the HS codes 4401, 4403, 4407 of the Eurasian Economic Union will be in force for six months, until mid-March 2024. Let's add that previously the ban was in force from February to August this year.
Kyrgyzstan regularly implements this ban to prevent the flow of Russian-supplied wood to third countries without payment of customs duties.
