Demand for Ogouman and Ayyus was weak in Asian markets

Demand for tree species such as Agoman and Sequoia has slowed significantly in Asia.

Philippine importers have reduced Agoman sawn timber imports by about 30%, which has affected trade across the region.

In China, demand for Ogouman and Ayodes was weak, while demand for other varieties such as Owanko, Bailey and Okan remained stable. Chinese mills in the region are shifting their focus from Auguman to other varieties, including azo in the Dutch and German markets, as Chinese demand declines, but demand from the hydraulic industry has declined due to reduced construction activity due to the European holidays.
